Does it matter if your husband has withdrew US's spousal immigration in the past while it was in the process because they got divorced, will it effect if I apply to sponser him to Canada?

My husband was married in the past to an American citizen and while the sponsership case was in process because their marriage didnt work out, they got divorced. So my husband withdrew the case. Now I am wondering if I apply to sponser him to Canada will it effect anything? I would highly appreciate your help. Thank you
