Fiancé

Dear Sir,I have already applied for the immigration to quebec and already got my file number since one year,however nothing else since then. I had an addition to my file as my sister&her husband are in Canada since 1year now. But I also have a Canadian Fiancé, he is currently in Mauritius and we would like to know if there aren't any other ways to get me to Canada,as the CSQ is taking so long. He cannot sponsor me as he is still a uni student there. Will we getting married affect my CSQ in any ways?If i have already applied for the CSQ do i still have the right to apply for a study permit? I know I have a lot of questions but the truth is there is no one around to really help us out, thanks a lot in advance.

If you get married, it should not adversely affect your application. With regards to processing times, it is in the hands of the embassy now. Most visas will be issued in the new year - there is a quota that each embassy has to work with and once they reach their limit, they stop issuing visas - hence, the slow down.

You can still try and apply for study permit. There is no guarantee that it will be approved.
